Fandom: Bomberman (Poisonverse).

Notes: The ragingly awful contrived shippy problematic trashfire known as Poisonverse has been a thing of discussion between
khaures and I for about 2 or 3 years now, but the vast majority of what we've written for it don't deserve to be inflicted on anyone's eyes but our own. However, since Khaures has one themeset about the ship up and I found several floating random ideas from reviewing older discussions, I decided to own up to my part in this hellish disaster and put together a corresponding themeset for public consumption that will raise far more questions than it answers.
Details for this 'verse are in a constant state of flux, but the suuuuper basic premise is this:
Poisonverse liberally mixes elements of both ODN (Khaures' treatment of canon events) and Edenverse, not that most people reading this will know or care. And, as with basically all of my themesets, this one jumps around in chronology.
Title and summary come from "Harbor" by Vienna Teng.

Details for this 'verse are in a constant state of flux, but the suuuuper basic premise is this:
At some point after destroying the Angel of Light and Shadow, Shiro finds herself on Thantos again by some happenstance. Regulus, keen on testing himself against Shiro yet again, offers her free boarding at his place in exchange for regular sparring. With nowhere else to go and nothing else better to do, Shiro takes him up on his offer. Much to her utter horror and confusion, she finds herself increasingly attracted to Regulus. Even worse: he feels the same.
Just as their roommates-with-benefits relationship starts to settle in a little, Shiro is snatched from her life by a powerful seraph named Sylach and "poisoned" with heavy amounts of seraphic energy coursing through her veins, leaving her a near-catatonic, weakened, and forgetful mess without Regulus' shadow influence countering the effect. In order to protect her, Regulus lays a celestial claim on Shiro, marking her — at least in the eyes of celestials — as his property, not to be touched or messed with, and he and Zoniha spend the next several years taking care of her.
Naturally, all of this leads to a shitton of anger, bitterness, and despair on Shiro's part, to say nothing of the existing issues in her relationship with Regulus caused merely by the fact of their personal differences. The miraculous purging of the poison later down the line only serve to make Shiro even more aware of how fucked up her life is, and leaves her with no excuse for running away from her problems — including ones that began before the BHB Army rose to power.
