Notes: Wow, been a while since I did one of these! You'd think I'd have gotten around to it already with this pairing, though. But better late than never!
As per the usual with this sort of thing, the sentences skip aaaallll over timelines and may refer to things that I either haven't written yet or won't ever write, for various reasons. Her body is light in his arms, but his heart is heavy with the weight of her death.

Alternating days of warmth and winter ices over the front porch of their house, causing Hubert to take a nosedive as he steps outside to investigate a suspicious noise.

A very nervous Pao-Lin fumbles the rather lengthy marriage vows that Hubert insisted on using for their ceremony, even with Ginia spotting her for lines.

Despite knowing it could be useful, Hubert's ill at ease with the thought of communicating with beings he can't see, so he continually passes up on Pao-Lin's offers to help him with learning filial magic.

"Faster," she begs.

When Pao-Lin goes over to check what Stormy is burying in the ground behind their house, she finds Hubert's glasses — which have been missing since this morning.

Hubert always appreciates Pao-Lin's attempts to dress more "like a girl" for their rare formal dates, but...he's still allowed to complain about that awful shade of pink on her, right?

Of all the weird situations that Luceti's experiments have thrown him into, having to force a tomboyish glutton like Pao-Lin to eat because she'd suddenly stopped out of concern for her weight is certainly one of the more surreal ones that Hubert can remember.

Sometimes Pao-Lin uses Faeren's magic to unearth stones from the ground so she can fling them into the air as target practice for Hubert.

Pao-Lin squeaks a little in surprise when Hubert pins her down for a passionate kiss.

He tries his best to ignore the shivers of pleasure that run down his spine when she brushes her fingers along his wings.
